Direct Container Print 2015 announces dates and first programme details

pic dcpDirect Container Print 2015 (DCP) marks is entrance onto the 2015 event calendar with presentations on low migration inks, UV LED curing and recent developments in screen and inkjet technology. Organised by ESMA in cooperation with Chameleon Business Media, DCP is supported by leading manufacturers such as KBA-Kammann, Marabu and Sun Chemical. This technical conference introduces printers, packaging manufacturers and brand owners to the potential of direct to shape container decoration on plastics. DCP takes place on 23-24 November 2015 at the Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel in Düsseldorf, Germany.

Already a multi-billion business, the packaging market is experiencing its strongest growth in years. Plastic remains one of the most popular packaging materials by far in beauty and health care, pharmaceutical and food industries. With quality print being the key to success of an inviting and brand-enhancing packaging, new technologies are progressing and changing the costs and benefits of direct to shape printing. Both screen, pad and digital print unlock entirely new options in terms of no-label approach for round and special-shaped surfaces which improves product customisation, as well as the flexibility of the print process and logistics in general.

In that context, highlights of DCP 2015 presentations will include Global Inkjet Systems  (“Inkjet and Direct Container Print – Challenges and Successes”), Phoseon (“Benefits of UV LED Curing in Direct Container Printing”) and Isimat (“InLine Foiling – Adding a Competitive Edge to Direct Container Printing”). Marabu will provide an overview of product requirements in regards to new curing technologies, as well as of ink and substrate developments for various plastic materials. Industrial Inkjet will describe the demands on the printhead selection, ink technology, pre-treatment and system design and will illustrate it with case studies of real working examples.

Submissions from new speakers are still coming in and the programme updates can be followed on the conference website at www.dcp2015.org. Early-bird delegate registration is now available online with special rates valid until 31.07.2015.
