Masterclass “Future of Conductive Printing” It is generally accepted that PE is a disruptive technology which will enable next-generation ICT, energy, healthcare, entertainment and advertising industry solutions to meet large end user markets demand in the future. This makes printing of conductive materials for printed electronics applications an area of great economical potential and fast technical progress. Today, most of the printed electronics are based on highly priced silver based inks. Within the European funded CLIP-project, research institutes, SME’s and SME Associations are working together to develop low cost inks based on copper for use in optimized high volume low cost printing technologies (screen, flexo) and digital non contact printing technologies (inkjet and aerosol jet printing). In this first event on Conductive Printing, we give an overview on the state-of-the-art and new developments in the field of conductive ink development, sintering methods, printing technology and applications. |
Pavilion “Printed Electronics Europe” at IdtechEx In 2013, IdTechEX has another Printed Electronics Europe in Berlin 17 & 18 April. We have received a super deal for a small pavilion of ESMA members. If you have interest let us know. Typical sizes of booths are 3x2 or 6x2. |
Presentations of technical Seminar: ECOprint 2012 in Berlin ESMA held a technical seminar with 5 presentations about ecology and sustainability within screen and digital printing for graphical and technical applications. High quality presentations introduced interesting points but showed also bottlenecks and opened discussion points on how to approach these topics. The questions discussions afterwards showed the greater interest of the audience. A new workgroup on Ecology & Sustainability within ESMA will be started ASAP! We hereby provide you the link to the webpage where you can download all the presentations of this Technical Seminar. |
Glasstec, 22-27 October, Düsseldorf At the next Glasstec Exhibition, Düsseldorf, ESMA has created a 365 square meter technology pavilion featuring 12 members promoting glass decoration. Expert speakers will offer printers, OEMS and Tier 1 suppliers a series of presentations covering the best practices, as well as offering an invaluable insight into the latest technologies available. Applications to be covered include automotive, film insert molding, nameplate, fascia, printed electronics, circuit, label and solar cell technologies. In addition, carefully selected keynote presentations will complement the technical programme. If you are interested in speaking at the AFIP event, please contact: pb@esma.com |
ESMA is proud to have launched the new ‘Approved Supplier’ scheme during at the ECOprint exhibition in Berlin. The ‘Approved Supplier’ scheme was developed in support of the customers of ESMA Member companies, to be able to demonstrate that they purchase from reputable suppliers producing quality products produced by printing processes that are based on strong health, safety and environmental values. The scheme is set up in three tiers: |
ESMA’s 1st workshop 8 November: 3D Printing & Additive Manufacturing Join this 3D printing and Additive Manufacturing workshop on the 8th November 2012 in Liege, Belgium at the premises of Sirris, a company with leading expertise on 3D printing. Three different technologies based on 3D printing with plastic and with metal will be explained and showed in their labs. Sirris will demonstrate aerosol printing, a recent print technology for different materials. We organise one half-day session; prices are €75 for members, €125 for non-members. |
