More and larger pavilions pavilion2
ESMA is developing an extra service to its members and non-members by creating pavilions on important shows for specialist printing.

The focus will be to provide an easy solution at acceptable cost with sufficient corporate identity of each member.
The largest saving will be indirect cost (time to plan & organise everything) but also on services (hostesses, catering,..).

The biggest advantage is “increased visibility” for members especially at non-print focused events like Glasstec. In some cases the cost per sqm may also be better in addition to indirect cost savings.

The current list is growing rapidly:

  • in 2011: SGIA (currently 7 member participants)
  • in 2012: DRUPA (currently 10 member participants ± 600sqm or more), Glasstec, SGIA
  • in 2013: FESPA London (currently 12 member participants ± 600sqm), Interpack, SGIA

drupalogoMore about DRUPA:

At the end of September, DRUPA had a meeting with ESMA and some of his members.

They have the vision to boast screen printing in relationship to functional printing, also linked to the future, as a world wide campaign to push this technology and maybe provide a separate hall to bring all screen printing and related technology in one hall!

The join efforts of DRUPA & ESMA might put screen printing & functional printing in the spotlights during such an important show!

ESMA Statistics shows revival of European market for screen printing

In the first half of 2010 there is a clear positive trend in sales of screen inks which indicates that the market has turned around. The graph shows that sales are positive but this trend should continue to cover the losses of the past year.

The statistics of ESMA members are only available for participating (and contributing) members. The statistics are given trends in many ways of the evolving market in Europe. If members are interested to join the statistics, they can contact John Dixon at Whittle Industry Data [John.Dixon@wid.co.uk] at any time.
