ESMA launches new Innovative Workshops

ESMA is looking forward to launch a new concept of innovative workshop to build more market and application knowledge between printers and manufacturers. The initial domains are glass, textiles, advanced functional printing. Workshops will bring together printers, manufactures, consultants and press.

Sportswear & Fashion T-shirt printing and production Conference This ESMA –sponsored conference now has a definite date: 3rd February 2012 (the second day of TecStyle Visions exhibition in Stuttgart).
It will be in cooperation with the magazine TV-P.
For those who are interested there is a survey on our website and on the websites of TVP.
By participating in this survey, interested parties can themselves influence the conference program
.

Glassprint

glassprint2The next conference will take place on 23rd and 24th November 2011 and to accommodate the anticipated growth, it moves to the spacious Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel Dusseldorf, Germany.
As a starting point, we would like to request ESMA members to submit ideas for papers to be presented at this event.

ESMA: Digital workgroup - Quality Assurance Project

With a small group of members an initial start has been given from the digital committee. The group will build and test a model form to define a level of Quality Assurance for a number of applications (it even includes certain factors such as ecology and sustainability). More information will be provided in the next Digital Committee or through the newsletter and ESMA website. The workgroup will be expanded over time with other manufacturers and suppliers.

This should be a kick-off towards a global Quality Label for member products and services and later a Quality Label for printers.


RFID

rfidThe project to integrate RFID to support the workflow of screen printing for control and safety has been now put online.
The website is in German and English and provides an initial briefing and information on the current situation and potential.

DRUPA 2012 - Pavilion

drupa_2012Currently, we have pre-booked a 600 sqm pavilion with 10 members and one non-member. There is still limited availability for members and non-members to join the ESMA City! ESMA City will feature Screen Printing, Functional Printing, Special Applications and Printed Electronics.

Systex Vision Paper

SYSTEX survey Delphi Study – Part I – The Experts
The project at the Ghent University ended the poll and would like to thank all 120 participants for their contribution.
Within the SYSTEX project, we are currently finalizing the roadmap for the smart textiles industry. In this context, there will be sent out a request for the completion of the second round of the Delphi Study.

Printed Electronic Cover

The February 2011 issue of Canvas Magazine incorporates the world's first interactive printed electronic cover. This is a layer printed circuit and screen printing played an important role in this project. The over used relatively familiar, commercially available materials and conventional printing equipment. The site gives you an overview of how the cover was made and resources to help you develop your own electrochromic printed piece.
