Sportswear & Fashion T-shirt Printing conference

sportswear2We can announce the website of the upcoming event: www.textile-printing.org.
This website will be one of the new websites built around the topics and applications of textile printing, using screen and inkjet printing.
There are still some opportunities for submitting a presentation as the call of papers is still valid till mid-August 2011.

Several promotional packages, product links and company information for members and non-members of ESMA are available for companies participating in the conference.
Pre-registration can now already be made on the website of the event!

Don’t miss the opportunity of this new conference, in cooperation with TVP, and its exhibition Techstyle Vision and Specialist Printing Worldwide!

PID= Printed Interior Decoration With the search for new applications and market trends, it was interesting to see the explosive growth in possibilities for digital and some screen printing in the market of interior  and exterior decoration. The decoration stretches from textile, carpets, wall papers, glass, tiles, laminated floors, wooden panels to kitchens… The trend seems to find its way in the interior design market of hotels, offices but also home decoration.
The new ESMA website will give an overview of all the potential applications with information and links for architects and interior decorators.
ESMA will also start promotional activities in the decoration industry on exhibitions with pavilions, in magazines with the website and editorials to promote applications and printers providing the service. The idea for a potential conference is foreseen in 2013 in relationship with the exhibition Bau in Munich.
The website should be announced in the next newsletter after the summer.

CLIP (Conductive Lowcost Ink Project)

CLIPlogoAfter the first year, the FP7 project funded with funds from the EC is now starting to test ink formulations of the new micro and nano particles of silver, copper and aluminium. Because we don’t have an ink manufacturer in the consortium we are looking for an ink manufacturer (preferably an SME) for helping to develop inks for screen inkjet, aerosol and flexo printing. For all further questions and interest, you can contact Peter Buttiens: pb@esma.com

ESMA General Assembly 2012

We want to inform all ESMA members that we have to change the date of the General Assembly, which was planned in Basel on Friday 16 March 2012, due to the Baselworld exhibition (leading world exhibition for jewellery and watches) taking place at the same time. The new date will be Friday 23 March 2011.

New ESMA Printer Survey

With several current projects and new upcoming projects in different domains, we would like to get more involvement from printers to support projects with feedback and knowledge. We would like to ask each member to provide contact details of interesting printers (screen or digital) in all kind of industrial and non-industrial applications. We need 5 names, contact persons with e-mail, telephone details. We will contact them for further information and explanation.

Viscom Germany (13-15 October 2011)

viscom2011ESMA has been offered several options to participate in the Viscom show. Some of the suggestions:

  • Open ESMA Forum about Color Management (digital printing maybe also screen)
  • Textile Summit Workhop on individual printing tends innovation in relationship to the upcoming conference of Sportswear & Fashion T-shirt printing.

The idea is to create this with several members without generating costs but interesting exposure and providing technological content for the show. Any initiative and cooperation are welcome. This could be ideal for manufacturers to have additional access to the show besides their dealers or distributors. We will have designated rooms and floor space on the show! Viscom Germany will take care of all promotional activities.

ESMA is also working on a special deal for members to get a special rate for participating on all Viscom shows in Europe (direct or indirect participation).
